There is a joy in the journey. There's a light we can love on the way. There is a wonder and wildness to life. And freedom for those who obey.

100% BOY!

Well, we had a super busy weekend! R's truck went into the shop last Thursday. They called on Saturday to say that it was ready, and we were relieved after three days without R working! We went to pick it up, but just a few miles down the road and it was still doing the same thing he took it in for! So back to the shop it went. We found out on Sunday that it needs a whole new ECM, which is the computer that runs the truck. Thankfully, the lease company we bought it from is fronting the money for the repair. They are such great people! I hope we can get this done and the truck back on the road soon. Every day it sits in the repair shop looses us money, as the payments and insurance don't stop!

T and his fiance W came down Saturday night and spent most of the day with us on Sunday. What a treat that was! We never have the time money and patience to travel up there with a baby, so them coming here is wonderful! I miss my son sooooooo much! I cannot tell you how wonderful it was when he walked in the door and gave me a great big hug! I love you, T!

Friday night I took J home, and R wanted me to go to the store to get us something. While I was gone, J tripped over one of his toys and fell right onto the corner of the coffee table. AGAIN he got another big goose egg and bruise! R just about went loco with frustration and helpless feelings. Then Sunday morning he fell AGAIN and landed on the door frame outside his bedroom. You guessed it! Goose egg on top of goose egg. The poor child is lopsided! Well, suffice it to say R and I were beside ourselves after that. Imagining all sorts of head trauma and brain injuries and cranial hemmorages. Here is a picture taken Sunday afternoon:

I spoke with his pediatric nurse this morning, and she was able to calm my fears. She gave me specific indicators to watch for that would tell us if there was really a problem. Ironically, we had bought him this shirt on Saturday:

It says: 15% dirt, 30% bruises and cuts, 30% boo boos, 25% bumps.....100% BOY!

Here he is mac'n on his brother's woman! LOL

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

We have an exciting weekend to look forward to! I am off work tomorrow for the holiday. We have friends coming in from out of town to visit, and we haven’t really had a nice long visit in about four years! I am so excited! They will be here tomorrow afternoon, and have to leave on Sunday. I may just have to find someplace to hide J and K-bug when it’s time for their parents to leave, so I can keep them a while! Although, J is likely to scratch my eyes out after about 4 or 5 days without her online gaming or her boyfriend! LOL Maybe I should rethink this plan…..

I also just learned that my sister in law will be in town this weekend, so I will have to try to find some time to spend with her.

My dear darling friend Big Bird is having a very delicate surgery done as I’m typing this. I hope you will join me in praying for the skill and knowledge of her surgeon, and for a quick recovery and successful outcome. Her ongoing health issues do not make this an easy endeavor for her and her doctors. She is under God’s protection, and I trust her to Him.

Until next time……God Bless, be safe, and enjoy your holiday!

OUCH!!!

My poor little man took a fall on Saturday and landed head-first on the side rail of our bed. No, he didn't fall off the bed, he was standing on the floor and lost his balance. This big puple slash appeared instantly, and the goose-egg was close behind. Thankfully, it didn't seem to give him much problem. He was done crying LONG before his mommy was! It has now faded significantly and the bump is gone. All is well, but this was his first big boo-boo
