Ok. I know. I have some updating to do! First off, here is our little J-man all dressed up as a lion. Isn't he the most adorable lion you've ever seen? Baby, Simba's got nothin on you!!!

And now, here is a picture of the tree of us together. Can you tell what we are? Think long and hard. Don't try to cheat. Think about it before scrolling down!........
Did you get it?
Did you try?
Here's a hint..........think literary......
The Lion...
The Witch...
and the Wardrobe!!!
Do you love it?
Well, yesterday was the big day. J-man's first vote. He wasn't that impressed. I picked him up after work and we went straight to the pole. I put him in his stroller, not knowing how much of a wait I might have. I was pleasantly surprised not to have to wait at all. I mean, literally, not one second. We hit at just the right time. I chose a voting booth on the end and pulled J's stroller right up beside it. I gave him his juice cup and stepped in the curtain. And he FREAKED! He did not like Mommy going into that voting booth AT ALL! I peeked out and tried to comfort him a few times. Gave him toys, etc. He was fine the instant I was out, and NOT fine the instant I went back in. Finally, I had to take him out of the stroller and carry him into the booth with me. Have you ever tried to vote with a toddler in your arms? Not easy. First he kept trying to steal my pen. (we had paper ballots) I think he was trying to write in Elmo. I convinced him that would be throwing his vote away, so he started playing peek-a-boo with the people waiting in line behind us. So much for voter privacy. Good thing I wasn't ashamed of my vote! It took me a long time to fill out the Presidential vote. Even walking into the booth I still wasn't sure. It was the last thing I filled in, and I just stood there staring at it. This was one of the hardest elections ever! This morning on the phone I told R in a resigned tone that Obama will be our next President. He said, "I didn't know you had misgivings about that." My reply? "I had misgivings about BOTH of them!" Sad, but true.
And most of you who follow me also follow baby Bella and her mommy, so you probably already know this. But it bears repeating anyway. So far all of the apppointments and tests have gone very well in Cincinatti! It turns out that she does not have to have her tonsils out, only her adenoids, which means that her treatment will not be delayed. Also, it looks like her heart is very good, and so far all the appointments have been great. She has even made a new friend already. Little Kendra, who is just over 70 days post transplant and doing great! Talk about a role model! So thanks to everyone for the many prayers that have been going up for Bella and her family the last several months. Now we are seeing the evidence of our answers! You Go, God!! :)
