There is a joy in the journey. There's a light we can love on the way. There is a wonder and wildness to life. And freedom for those who obey.

The Big Sale, part 3....The Final Count

At long last, here is the final post from the Bella Benifit sale. It was a long and tiring weekend, but it was a good kind of tired, as we knew what we were doing this for! Preparing the yard and loading up the trailers the day before.

Cooking more chili.
Grams was our babysitter for the weekend, and helped out with the cooking too. Couldn't have gotten this done without her to care for the J-man! Thank you, Grams!

Momma C holding down the money box. Man, was it ever windy that day!
This was the table of food. Bake sale and chili feed. The large picture of B there drew a lot of attention. After looking at her sweet face and hearing her story, one very sweet older man paid $20 for a pan of brownies!
We put up signs saying that the proceeds for all the baby stuff went to Bella. Unfortunately, we didn't sell much of it. I think the extreem wind kept the people with babies at home. We'll try again later, though.

J really enjoyed eating Bella chili for lunch! He had chili from head to toe.
All together we made about $270 for Bella. Not near what we had hoped, but very good considering the weather we ended up with. We are now moving on with plans for a soup supper in the community center in November. Pray for a good turnout!

  1. Wow! What an amazing woman you are. I don't know you very well and I don't know much about Bella, but it's extremely moving to read about all you've done for her and her family!
